MTCC Updates On Gdh. Madaveli-Hoadehdhoo Causeway Project

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has updated on the progress of the Gaafu Dhaalu Madaveli-Hoadehdhoo Causeway Project. According to MTCC, the company has commenced bridge access road clearing works and is currently undertaking the Geotechnical survey works at the project site. The project was contracted to MTCC at a value of MVR 84.17 million.

The Gdh. Madaveli-Hoadehdhoo Causeway project includes several large-scale works and therefore, spans to several essential areas. The scope of the project extends to the shore protection of a 260m area, concrete works of a 2,544cbm segment and the installation of 285 spun piles. Moreover, subbase construction works would span over a 3,144m area and asphalt laying is planned to be carryout in two different parts of the project. This includes the asphalt laying on the 4,596m causeway and the approach road as well. In addition to this, road paving works will be done over an area of 1,378m and the project also features the installation of streetlights and road markings for the ease of users.
