Bank of Maldives Announces 8 Winners of Small Grants Fund

The Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the eight Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that submitted winning proposals to the Small Grants Fund. The Small Grants Fund was incepted as part of the 12 high-impact monthly community initiatives by BML to commemorate the Bank’s 40th anniversary.

The fund was open to NGOs based throughout the country and aimed to support NGOs in their community-based initiatives and projects. With a special focus given to projects addressing and combating environmental issues and promoting sustainable development, each winning proposal will receive grant funding of MVR 250,000 to successfully pilot their projects.

As such the eight NGOs who were selected for the grant funding are:

2.Huvadhoo Association for Tourism (HAT)
3.Vaadhoo Association for Future Development (VAFD)
4.Kumundhoo Revival Initiative (Kurevi)
5.Women in Fuvahmulah
6.Small Island Research Group
7.Huvadhoo Aid
8.Kihaadhoo Development Society (KIDS)
