Bank of Maldives Honours Long-Serving Employees at a Glittering Ceremony

On Tuesday, the Bank of Maldives (BML) hosted a glittering ceremony to honour its long-serving employees who have worked in the bank for many decades. During the event awards were presented to recipients who have worked in the bank for many years, acknowledging their invaluable services rendered to the bank.

Three individuals received special commendations from BML for having served in the bank since its inception, four decades ago. These three individuals are Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Aishath Noordeen, Development Banking Director, Fathimath Manike and Senior Facilities Officer, Moosa Mohamed. Moreover, Senior Reconciliation Officer, Firag Ahmed was also honored with special recognition for serving the bank for more than 35 years.

A total of 68 employees received accolades during the ceremony held last night at Dharubaaruge. The awards were presented by the newly-appointed Chief Executive Officer of BML, Karl Stumke. Speaking at the ceremony, Karl remarked “I take his opportunity to express my sincerest gratitude to you for the several years of hard work, dedication and diligence to build and advance the Bank of Maldives as the leading Bank of this country. Your institutional knowledge is irreplaceable and is what adds to the unique culture of the Bank”.

BML is named the largest bank in the Maldives, sporting one of the biggest employee networks in the country with 99% of staff hailing from the island nation.
