Ooredoo Maldives X UNDP Maldives Partners For Miyaheli Social Innovation Camp 2022

Ooredoo Maldives and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have once again partnered to host the 7th edition of the Miyaheli Social Innovation Camp 2022. Themed ‘Innovation for People, Planet and Prosperity’ this year’s camp differs from the previous editions as it is only open to Civil Society Organisations (CSOs). The Miyaheli Social Innovation Challenge provides a platform for CSOs to collaborate and co-create innovative solutions to societal issues within their immediate communities. Partakers in the camp will be equipped with tools, knowledge and guidance from mentors and facilitators to further elevate their ideas. Consequently, refined ideas can be sifted through which emphasizes on bringing an important solution to a problem in a sustainable and impactful manner.

13 CSOs will be invited to attend the Miyaheli camp from which 3 organizations will receive a grant to pilot their innovative and winning solutions. A seed funding of MVR 300,00 will be provided with mentorship in accordance with their proposed budget and requirements. 2 grants will be awarded to CSOs based outside the Greater Male’ region as this is where most CSOs are located in. The massive grant funding will also allow organizations to upscale their projects and explore further opportunities, ensuring a prosperous and long-term difference is brought to their communities.
