Bank of Maldives To Be The Official Partner of National Surf Teams

Yesterday, Bank of Maldives (BML) singed with the Maldives Surfing Association to become the Official Sponsor for the national surf teams. This agreement further reaffirms BML’s commitment to support the development of sports in the Maldives.

As per the partnership, BML would be extending support to the annual National Junior Surfing Championship hosted by Maldives Surfing Association. The junior surfing championship tournament is dedicated to the young talent in the sport and hopes to promote the development of young stars through the tournament.

Speaking on the occasion, BML’s In-charge and Acting MD, Aishath Noordeen remarked “We are tremendously proud to partner with Maldives Surfing Association through our BML Islamic arm. Like many, we continue to be impressed by the talent of local surfers and through this partnership we hope to make a real difference in promoting the sport and supporting young athletes achieve this professional dreams”.

Bank of Maldives is continuously investing in the development of sports in the Maldives and has partnerships with national associations of football, swimming and tennis at the moment. Moreover, as part of its 40th anniversary monthly initiatives, BML has also announced Sports Scholarships for high-performing top athletes in the country in association with Maldives Olympic Committee.
