BML Announces The Three Winners Of Hackathon 2022

Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the three winners of the Hackathon 2022 which took place at Hotel Jen. During the closing ceremony of the 48-hour Hackathon, three teams were selected for their winning ideas. The winning ideas include:

1.Digital Onboarding: Ahmed Mahfooz, Hussain Zayaan & Moosa Irushaan
2.Expense Tracker: Mohamed Athik Ali Riza, Fathimath Areen Naseem & Mohamed Yaniu Rameez
3.Personal Finance Manager: Mohamed Jailam, Ibrahim Hussain Shareef & Mohamed Eeman
 

Themed “Banking Solutions to Enhance Customer Experience’ the hackathon saw the participation of over 30 individuals. The 30 partakers worked to develop innovative fintech ideas and solutions during the Hackathon to further improve customer experience and operational excellence.

Speaking on the occasion, In-Charge & Acting MD of BML said “We are delighted to see the fintech community come together for this Hackathon and the interest from developers have delivered creative solutions that will help us provide a better banking experience. We are excited to welcome the winners to our Innovation Lab and support the teams to realize their idea. Thank you to the participants and my appreciation to the members who helped bring this idea to life”.

The winning teams will then work for 6 months in the Bank’s Innovation Lab to develop their ideas. During the time, the teams will be provided with a furnished private working space, monthly allowance of MVR 20,00 and signed a contract regarding the long-term maintenance of the developed solution.
