Bank Of Maldives Hosts Annual Staff Awards Ceremony

On Friday, Bank of Maldives (BML) hosted the annual staff awards ceremony to honour the top performing employees of the bank. The ceremony was held at Social Centre, Male’ and saw many diligent recipients taking home accolades in multiple categories.

Ali Zaid Mohamed (Compliance Manager) was awarded the Best Manager Award while Mohamed Saeed (Public Relations Manager) took the Best Leader Award. The CEO’s Award for Outstanding Achievement was presented to three recipients, namely, Fathimath Farihath Waheed (Head of Cards & Payment Governance), Abdulla Solah (Senior Manager, Premium Banking) and BML Mobile App Team. The most coveted accolade of the ‘Employee of the Year’ was given to two individuals; Hassan Aqleem (North Cluster Manager) and Mohamed Ashraf (Head of People Development).

Other accolades also graced the occasion and was received by staff and teams who excelled in their work in the previous year. These notable awards include Best Atoll Branch, Best Team, Best Atoll Employee, Customer Service Star and Award for Innovation. The awards were presented by In-charge and Acting MD of BML, Aishath Noordeen along with Board Directors and members of the Executive Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, In-charge & Acting MD, Aishath Noordeen said “I congratulate all the winners tonight and express my deep appreciation to all our staff for their immense contribution and commitment. As we look forward to celebrating our 40th anniversary next month, it is wonderful to recognize and appreciate our staff who are behind the Bank’s growth and success over the years”.

The Staff Awards are featured as part of BML’s focused human resources strategy. As the winner of the prestigious ‘Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award’ for the fourth consecutive time, the bank reaffirms their progress in advancing towards being one of the best and most professional workplaces in the region.
