First Lady Meets Community Social Group, IBAMA During Her Official Visit To Fuvamulah

Yesterday night, First Lady Fazna Ahmed met with members of Fuvamulah City’s community social group, IBAMA during her official visit to the City.

At the meeting, the IBAMA members shared with the First Lady various activities conducted by the group in Fuvamulah City and brought into light the different challenges they face in their line of work. Moreover, IBAMA also noted the support the group receives from relevant institutions in the city as well.

Speaking about the inception of the organization, the members stated that through the establishment of IBAMA, it has helped to remove barriers in resolving societal issued in the community. Furthermore, they added that the group has now established clear directives and has the capacity to find speedy solutions to problems through mutual collaborations.

During the meeting, the First Lady expressed her hopefulness and gratitude for the organization in responding to issues that were previously unsolved by individual authorities. In this regard, she stated that IBAMA is now providing solutions to these issues through joint efforts with its partner institutions. Apart from the First Lady, Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services, Aishath Mohamed Didi also took part in the meeting alongside other senior officials from her ministry. The Women’s Development Committee (WDC)s of Fuvamulah also participated in the meeting.

IBAMA is an organization working towards creating a healthy community by identifying and providing vulnerable people with social security and assistance. They work with relevant stakeholders in specialized teams in islands and cities across the country with the exception of Male’ City.
