MTCC Shares Progress Of Phase 2 Of L. Fonadhoo Road Construction Project

Today, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) shared with the public the progress of phase two of the Laamu Fonadhoo Road Construction Project. The company stated that they have completed 93% of the storm water pipe installation work which forms part of the storm water management system featured in the project. Moreover, the 53% of the sidewalk construction of the road is also completed at the moment.

Valued at a project value of MVR 53.9 million, the second phase of the L.Fonadhoo Road Construction Project extends to many necessary areas. This includes the establishment of a 27,179 square-meter carriageway, 10,392 square-meter pavement and road markings. In addition to this, streetlights and a storm water management system will also be installed under the project. Currently, the installment of the settlement tank is underway at Fonadhoo island.
