Dhiraagu Receives Special Recognition To Honour Their Contributions To The Maldivian Tourism Industry

As Maldives celebrates the Golden Jubilee Year of Tourism, Dhiraagu announced that they have received special recognition to mark the immense contributions done by the company towards the development and progress of Tourism Industry of the Maldives. The first-ever telecommunication provider was honoured by both the Government of the Maldives and the Maldivian Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) during the Tourism Golden Year Gala Evening held on October 3^rd 2022.

The glittering event held at Kurumba Maldives, commemorated 50 Years of Tourism in the Maldives with special accolades given to acknowledge different individuals, organisations and companies. At the Gala Evening, the President’s Tourism Gold Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Development of Tourism in the Maldives were awarded to recipients with Dhiraagu amongst the stellar lineup. The award was presented by the President of Maldives, His Excellency Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

In addition to the gold award, Dhiraagu also received the ’50 Years of Tourism’ appreciation award from MATI at a designated ceremony held to celebrate the occasion. On receiving these awards, Dhiraagu has expressed their gratitude to the Government and Tourism industry for the honourable mentions and recognition.
