Bank of Maldives Announced Sports Scholarship For Top Athletes As Part Of Anniversary Celebrations

On Monday, Bank of Maldives (BML) announced that they will be giving out Sports Scholarships for high-performing athletes in the Maldives. The scholarships mark the 11th event of the 12 impactful community initiatives BML has been undertaking throughout the year. The monthly initiatives all form part of the 40th anniversary celebrations BML will be commemorating this upcoming November.

As per the initiative for this month, three fully funded sport scholarships will be awarded to three national top athletes. This scholarship program will assist athletes to reach their sporting potential by engaging in training programs in some of the distinguished training centres in the world. Managed with the help of Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC), the scholarship program is currently open for registration to all registered national sports associations.

While speaking on the scholarship program, BML’s In-charge and acting MD, Aishath Noordeen remarked “BML remains committed to playing an important part indeveloping sporting talent in the country through youth development programs and partnerships with national associations. Today, we are further delighted to announce our new stage. Our monthly initiatives continue to focus on giving back to the community and investing in the future of the country”.
