With a project value of MVR 59.71 Million, the scope of the project extends to many necessary areas. Apart from this a 362m breakwater will be developed along with a 312m quay wall and 362m breakwater.

The project also will facilitate the construction of a ramp, concrete jetty and installation of mooring buoys, harbour pavement and street and navigational lights in a 90sqm area. The newly constructed ramp will ease loading and unloading of goods to the island. Once the harbour is completed it will boast twice the size of the already existing harbour, stated MTCC.
