Bank Of Maldives Opens Applications For Third Phase Of Community Fund

Recently, Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced that they have opened applications for the third phase of the Community Fund for the year 2022. Under this phase, a total of 10 projects will receive funding of MVR 50,000 to conduct their proposals. However, proposals must be targeted at areas of education, environmental protection, sports and community-based initiatives.

Currently, only registered Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) can submit proposals to the Fund. Applications must be sent latest by 11:59pm on 17th October 2022 via email at community@bml.com.mv . The BML Community Fund is a community based program that strives to empower NGOS across the country to contribute to their societies in the form of sustainable projects. The Community Fund provides finance for initiatives focusing on community development, sports, environment, and education. Through the Community Fund, BML has supported over 70 different projects all across the country and strives to extend the assistance to 10 more proposals before the end of this year by initiating phase 3.
