Dhiraagu Renews Corporate Membership With Maldivian Red Crescent

Yesterday, Maldives first telecommunication company, Dhiraagu announced that it has renewed its corporate membership with Maldivian Red Crescent. The renewal of membership was done in an effort to further assist in the services provided by the organization. Since 2018, Dhiraagu has continuously been a corporate member of Maldivian Red Crescent and has facilitated aid in the expansion of their services to reach a wider audience of the nation.

Through this initiative of Dhiraagu, the company will be able to provide help in times of crisis and under normal circumstances to vulnerable parties in different parts of the country. They aim to give support to the Red Crescent’s services and pave for sustainable establishment of the humanitarian works. This includes giving first-aid, providing psychosocial support to people and other re-development efforts post crises.

In addition to this, the assistance given by Dhiraagu will be utilized to train more volunteers for Red Crescent as well as developing and upgrading the various Red Crescent units located across the country. During its previous membership, Dhiraagu has delivered telecommunication related services to the organization in their campaigns. This includes improving psychosocial support and giving assistance to expatriates by establishing toll-free helplines to reach those in need.

While speaking about the membership renewal, Brand & Marketing Director of Dhiraagu, Mr. Mohamed Mirushan Hassan remarked that Dhiraagu is very glad to contribute to the valuable national works conducted by Maldivian Red Crescent, by further renewing the corporate membership. He even extended felicitations to the Red Crescent team and its diligent volunteers on the anniversary of their organization and acknowledged their works towards humanity.
