MTCC Shares Updates On Projects At Ha. Ihavandhoo And Sh.Feydhoo

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has shared its progress on the ongoing projects at Ha. Ihavandhoo and Sh. Feydhoo.

The construction and design of Ha.Ihavandhoo harbor is nearing its completion with 95% of the project finished. The project features the construction of a 95centi metre quay wall and a 248 metre breakwater. MTCC has already constructed the breakwater of the island and scope of the project now extends to other areas.

The establishment of a 178metre reventment is also part of this project along with dredging and excavating operations of an area of 30,509cubic metres. In addition to this navigation lights and street lights will be installed in the island as well. The roads are set to be paved, spanning 4582 square metres of land. The estimated value for this project is MVR 59.07 Million.

In Sh.Feydhoo construction works of the 276 metre quay wall are currently underway with the precast concrete blocks laid down for the wall. This is part of the Harbour Development Project that is taking place at the island.

With a project value of MVR 35.6 million, the scope of the project at Feydhoo targets many necessary developments. This includes dredging and excavation operations conducted on an area of 27,500 cubic metres as well as the construction of a 90m reventment.

Furthermore, the project will see the establishment of harbor pavements covering an area of 1380 square metres and also funds the installment of navigation lights and street lights. A 378 metre breakwater is featured in this harbor development project too bringing great ease in transportation for the residents of Sh. Feydhoo.
