Applications Are Now Open For Allied Community Fund & Education Fund

Today, Allied Insurance launched 2 funding programmes namely Allied Community Fund and Education Fund. These programmes were launched in line with the company’s social responsibility policy “Premium for Good”. The funding programmes were introduced at a special press conference held at Allied Building by General Manager of Allied, Ibrahim Firushan.

Allied Community Fund focuses on 6 main areas and was established to empower projects that will benefit communities in the atolls. This includes community based projects aiming for healthy lifestyles, social work, environmental protection, right of women and children and even education and heritage. Applications are open to submit proposals and the deadline for this opportunity is 16:00 hours on 31st August 2022. Interested applicants must submit their proposals via email at communityfund@allied.mv. Afterwards, the most promising 4 projects will be selected and given a fund money of MVR 50,000 to carry out the project.

The newly launched funding programme, “Education Fund” was introduced by Allied in an effort to increase improvements in the educational system of the Maldives. The proposals submitted under this funding programme must be targeted at providing solutions that yield benefits to both students and teachers. The deadline for this fund is also 31st August 2022 before 16:00 hours and all proposals must be mailed to educationfund@allied.mv. From the proposals submitted, 8 winning projects will receive fund money of MVR 25,000 to conduct their projects.

While speaking at the press conference, General Manager of Allied, Ibrahim Firushan stated that Allied Funding programmes are curated with very high hopes. Its aim is to remove financial barriers facing different issues in the community across all atolls. He further stated that with this assistance, Allied hopes to create empowered, healthy communities in the country.
