The President Called On Students To Embrace The Academic Year With Eagerness And Renewed Determinations

On Sunday, President Solih urged all students to embrace the new academic year with a renewed interest in studies and determination for success. He said this while speaking at the special assembly held in Aminiya School to welcome students to the new Academic year 2022-2023.

The President emphasized the importance of attending school and remarked that schooling assists in learning and instilling good discipline in pupils. He further added that it is a home that teaches students to become healthier and responsible citizens and to make the school grounds a happy place by helping each other.

While speaking about the current issues faced by the country and the world, the President called upon students to bear two things in mind. Namely, environmental protection and economizing. He discussed that being mindful towards the environment and learning to economize, are two values that should be instilled in pupils from a young age.

In regard to the improvement of the education facilities and learning experiences, the President highlighted that the administration is undertaking many initiatives to develop infrastructure and increase teacher education. He further implied that technical development opportunities are also being widened from the administration side.

The president expressed his hopes that more people will be drawn to the educational sector through these initiatives. He stated that appointing educated and skillful educational professionals will pave way for the administration’s vision of building generations of young people who are well-educated and productive.

The Academic year 2022-2023 began this Sunday in 271 schools all over the nation. The total student body of the country has a population of 92,000 with 76,000 students attending public government schools. Public schools all across the country are equipped with more than 8300 teachers.
