Care Society Maldives Welcomes Newly Elected Members for its Executive Board

Care Society is a non-government organization registered in the Maldives on 9th November 1998 to cater for the most vulnerable groups. They are the proud pioneers of disability services in the country. As they celebrate 22 years in service this year, the organization continues to successfully manage a wide range of programs including but not limited to the Care Development Center (CDC), Care Training Centre (CTC).

Last night, the organization’s Annual General Meeting for the year 2019 was held. A total of 58 persons attended the meeting, from which 15 attending in person (6 Board Members, 6 Staff of Care Society, 3 Parents of Students at CDC) whilst the remaining 43 persons took part virtually.

During the meeting, the members approved and adopted the financial statements and audit report for the year 2019. In addition to this, their Strategic Plan 2021-2023 was presented in the meeting.

Members were also elected for vacant seats at the Executive Board. The newly elected Members and their respective positions are as follows;

· Mr. Thoha Saleem as Executive Board Chairperson
· Ms. Shazaa Adheeb as Executive Board member
· Ms. Haifa Naeem as Executive Board member
· Ms. Aminath Saleem as Executive Board Member
