BML Announces The Five Winning Projects For Phase Two Of Community Fund 2022

On Wednesday, Bank of Maldives (BML) announced the five best proposals of the second quarter of BML Community Fund 2022. The Community Fund is a financial assistance program conducted with the purpose of bringing and supporting sustainable development in the islands. BML has conducted the phase 1 of the Community Fund earlier in the year as well and successfully completed some of the selected projects.

Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) can present proposals to the Community Fund and the best 5 projects will be selected and financed through the fund. Three of the proposals that were selected featured the development of fish filleting platforms while the remaining two proposals contributed to improvements in educational facilities.

The five winners of the second phase include:
1.     The fish filleting platform project submitted by Club New Friends, A.A.Himandhoo
2.     The installation of RO machines and water dispensers at Bodufulhadhoo School proposed by Revolutionary Bodufulhadhoo Generation, A.A Bodufulhadhoo

 3.     The fish filleting platform project applied by Association for Neykurendhoo Development, H.Dh.Neykurendhoo
 4.     Renovation of A.Dh.Fenfushi preschool park submitted by Fenfushi Zuvaanunge Dhirun, A.Dh.Fenfushi
 5.     Fish filleting platform submitted by Hulhudheli Island Social & Sports Association, Dh. Hulhudheli
 
The Community Fund provides finance for initiatives focusing on community development, sports, environment, and education. Through the Community Fund, BML has supported 70 different projects all over the country and strives to extend the assistance to 10 more proposals before the end of this year.
