Maldivian Aero – The First Airline To Commence Operations to Newly Inaugurated Hoarafushi Airport
Maldivian Aero is the flag carrier of the Republic of Maldives and is proudly the leading domestic carrier operating in the country. It is also the only airline which offers both seaplane and wheel based flights in Maldives. At the moment, the airline operates daily frequent flights to all airports and offers competitive air transfers to all resorts within the country.
The airline is pleased to add the newly inaugurated airport in Maldives, Hoarafushi Airport to its destination network. According to them, commercial flights will commence starting from 26th November which will be flying from Velana International Airport at Male’ City. Hoarafushi Airport is the northernmost airport in the Maldives which is situated at the island of Hoarafushi in Haa Alif Atoll. Work on the airport was completed earlier this month whereas it was inaugurated by the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, last Thursday. Prior to the inauguration, test flights at the airport was also conducted by Maldivian Aero.
