WAMCO Introduces Door-Step Plus Service To Ease Household Registration Process

On Sunday, WAMCO introduced the Door-Step Plus service to make registration for waste disposal easier for households. This service was introduced partly as a result of the changes brought to WAMCO’s household registration process effective from last September 2021.
 
The changes brought last year dictated that the waste disposal service should be registered under the name of the owner of the property like all other utility services provided by WAMCO. However, this change posed some difficulties for customers and WAMCO received many complaints regarding them such as no support from the owner to dispose waste and the owner residing out of the house.
 
To address these concerns, WAMCO has decided to introduce the Door-Step Plus special service where residents of the house can register for the waste disposal process after paying a small deposit. To register for the service, the customer must submit a copy of their ID card or passport along with a non-refundable 3-day equivalent waste disposal fee and MVR50 for administrative charge.
 
Those seeking this service must request for it via the WAMCO website www.wamco.com.mv/online. Afterwards, a Bank of Maldives link would be sent to pay for the registration expenses.
 
Please note that the changes brought in September 2021 is still effective and if the owner of the property wishes to bear the expenses of the waste disposal process at any time, all other accounts registered under the same property would be terminated.
