Male’ City Council Launches “Maavehi” Portal To Make Services More Accessible

On Tuesday, the Maavehi portal was launched by Male’ City Council Mayor Dr. Mohammed Muizzu at a community meeting. The services provided by the Maavehi portal will officially commence from August 3rd onwards.

To use the services of the portal customers are required to register with their ID card number and the portal is secured with an OTP needed for each log-in. Help desks are available to guide customers through the portal and direct them to the services.

Services provided by the portal include issuing of road closure permits, renting of parks and mosque donations. Additionally, construction services, registration of individuals to Male’ houses, property services and new born registration and other services can be accessed through the portal.

The status of requested services can also be checked via the portal and online permits can be verified through the QR code in the system. Moreover, the portal will update customers about ongoing projects at Male’ City Council and receive notifications regarding them.

The Mayor also commented that more than a million drawings and registries concerning Male’ residents will be added to the database and shared with relevant groups.
