The 54th Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship Kick-Started by President

On Saturday, 16^th July, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih officially kick-started the 54th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2022, which is taking place on Maafushi Island in the Kaafu Atoll. The Maldives will serve as the host country for the 54th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship, where 20 local competitors will participate.
 
The competition is organized by the Bodybuilding Association of the Maldives in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth Sports and Community Empowerment and runs from July 15 through July 21. More than 400 athletes and officials from 24 nations are competing this year.
 
The President was presented with a distinguished service award by the Asian Body Building Federation (ABBF) at the event in honor of his contributions to the development of bodybuilding as a sport in the Maldives. The President had promised to promote the Maldives as a location for international sporting events.
