COVID-19 Booster Dose Updates! The Fourth Booster Dose is Now Available to Inject

The Health Protection Agency of Maldives has recently released a publication regarding the start of the injection of the fourth dose of COVID-19 Vaccinations. The announcement has come at a time where the rise of the positive cases of the virus has come into an effect.
 
In regards to the publication, the third booster dose of vaccine is now available for individuals between 12 years and 17 years old. The third booster dose is applicable for those who have completed six months after the second dose.
 
Moreover, the fourth booster dose is now ready for injection to those over the age of 65 years old and for those individuals who are higher at risk of infection. Those who have completed six months after the third booster dose is highly advised to get the fourth booster in order to avoid health complications if contacted by the virus.
 
Starting from today, June 23rd onward the vaccines will be injected via appointment basis in the Greater Male’ Area, the medical facilities in the local islands across the nation will be in charge of disbursing the vaccines there. Moreover, for those individuals who have not yet gotten the first dose or second dose of vaccines, they are still available in the vaccine centers across the island.
 
Vaccine Schedule in Great Male’ Area
·        Dharumavantha Hospital (26th June onward) – 10am to 12pm on Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays
·        Hulhumale’ Hospital (23rd June onward) – 1pm to 3pm on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
·        Dhamanaveshi (26th June onward) – 1pm to 3pm on every day except government holidays
