The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has officially taken over two towers built as part of the Vinares Housing Project in Hulhumale' Phase II.
In a ceremony held at Hulhumale' Phase II on Monday evening, HDC's Managing Director Suhail Ahmed and China Machinery and Engineering Company (CMECChief )'s Representative to Maldives Liu Xiaoda signed a handover agreement. Vice President Faisal Naseem, Cabinet ministers, and Chinese embassy officials also attended the ceremony.
Suhail, who spoke at the ceremony, said that companies like CMEC were instrumental in the development of Hulhumale'. "With the help of developers like these and the relationship they have with the government, we are able to develop this island," Sharing his thoughts is Mr. Suhail.
Chairman Wang Bo of CMEC stated that the company has been working in the Maldives on various projects since 2019. "For our employees, the Maldives has become a second home," shared Mr. Wang. The Vinares Housing Project included the construction of 1,344 apartments in ten towers. Prospective buyers can take a tour of a mock apartment built as part of the project.
