President Solih Establishes Rules on The Usage of The National Flag

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has issued a directive to government offices and institutions on Monday, June 20th, outlining the rules for using the national flag. All government offices and institutions must respect and care for the national flag, according to the regulation.

The directive expressly prohibits sacrilegious treatment of the national flag or any other action that could desecrate it, as well as the display of damaged, defiled, faded, or substandard flags. It also specifies the size of flags flown on the grounds of government offices and institutions, as well as at ceremonial events.

The directive also specifies which offices and institutions should hoist the flag from 6am to 6pm and which should display it at all times. It also includes instructions on how to display the national flag alongside other flags.
