MMPRC Proudly Takes on a Major Global Media Campaign Simultaneously for 10 Key Markets

Since tourism activities resumed in the Maldives after a temporary halt due to the widespread of the coronavirus in the country, there have been major marketing campaigns launched by Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) in order to regain the destination presence of Maldives as a holiday destination. Over 59k tourist arrivals have been recorded since the border reopening up until 19th November, which affirms that the marketing campaigns has had some sort of affect.

However, this is not a stop point for MMPRC. In this regard, they have launched a brand new major global media campaign with 10 key markets, simultaneously. This is considered as one of the most prominent campaigns which will be carried out for the year. Under this campaign, they will be utilizing both mainstream local and international media channels and travel trade prints. The campaign will be held for a period of one month taking place during November and December for the markets; India, United Kingdom, Russia, Middle East, France, German speaking markets, Turkey, Singapore, South Africa, Italy, Hong Kong and APAC.

As part of the campaign, key points highlighting the safety and unique selling points of Maldives will be featured across several mediums such as ads and advertorials placed on leading global publications alongside digital media publications. Both luxury and local tourism will be covered in this campaign. An online brochure will be disseminated containing essential information for tourist prior to their arrival consisting of the safety recognitions received by Maldives in addition to our loyalty program and COVID-19 travel insurance introduced for tourists.

Similar to most of its other campaigns, the main marketing message they hope to communicate is that Maldives is one of the safest holiday destinations at the moment due to the health and safety measures that are in place and the safety offered by the unique geography of the destination.
