Maldives Transport & Contracting Company (MTCC) – one of the largest companies in the country – has made it to the news once again with the mobilization of one of their on-going projects, the Harbor Development Project of B.Kamadhoo Island.
The project worth MVR 47.01 million, has a scope of works that includes dredging and excavation operations of 25,636 cbm, construction of a 180m breakwater, a 628m revetment, a 346m quay wall, installation of harbor pavement, construction of a ramp and installation of harbor lights.
MTCC has successfully completed numerous harbor development projects throughout the Maldives over the last 41 years. To meet the unique environmental and logistical challenges of carrying out harbor development projects in the Maldives' dispersed islands, the company developed their own mobilization techniques and operational procedures.
