Maldives Immigration Extends Service Hours Due To High Demand For Passports

COVID19 has significantly reduced around the globe. Meaning more countries are opening up their restrictions after two to three years of initiating strict travel rules. With these actions in light, Maldivians have been going out of the country more often now then since COVID19 lock down.
 
In a press release sent out by Maldives Immigration, the national security that has been providing quality, convenient professional immigration services that facilitate legitimate travelers, proactively detect immigration-related crimes and provide a trustworthy international travel identification for Maldivian citizens, has increased their working hours due to the high demand for passport renewal and making.


 
Immigration had initially forecasted daily average requests for 200 applicants however, the raise came at 800 daily, hence the addition of working hours until 21:30hrs. They had also extended the token distribution time to 1500hrs everyday starting from June 14th. Maldives Immigration aims to show understanding and compassion towards each individual, no matter their background or circumstances.
