BML Celebrates World Ocean Day with Ocean Activities & a New TikTok Challenge!

Bank of Maldives has partnered with local dive schools to provide introductory Discover Dives for children with disabilities to commemorate World Oceans Day and #RevitalizeTheOcean. The dive included 18 participants from the Maldives Association for Persons with Disabilities and the Autism Association.

 
The main goal of this project is to give disabled children the opportunity to experience the ocean through scuba diving, which has been shown to be both therapeutic and rehabilitative. The discover dive sessions were supported over three days by local dive centers Divers Lodge, Dive Club, and Moodhu Bulhaa Dive Centre.

 
Bank of Maldives also announced a Tiktok challenge to celebrate "Moodhu Moments" in honor of World Oceans Day. Tiktok users can enter by sharing a video about what the ocean means to them for a chance to win an exciting prize package. Participants have until June 13, 2022 to submit videos.
