MTCC Awarded with Construction of Hdh. Kunburudhoo Waste Transfer Station

The construction of the Hdh. Kunburudhoo Waste Transfer Station has been awarded to Maldives Transport & Contracting Company (MTCC). The client is the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Technology. Chief Operations Officer, Shahid Hussain Moosa signed on behalf of MTCC and Mohamed Ansar, the Deputy Minister, signed on behalf of the Ministry, in a signing ceremony that was held on June 6th, 2022.
 
Hdh. Kunburudhoo will serve as a waste transfer station for Zone 1 islands, including all Ha. Hdh and Sh. Atoll islands. Site clearing and concrete work, screed and block work, roof structure, perimeter drain, and access ramp are all part of the project's scope of work. Before any physical work begins, an Environmental Impact Assessment will be carried out. The project has a value of MVR 7.67 million and is expected to be completed in 140 days.
