At a special event held at Dhiraagu Head Office, Dhiraagu announced the intake for the Apprenticeship Program 2022 - one of the company's key CSR initiatives aimed at empowering youth. The goal of this program is to develop young people through a structured educational training program, as well as to improve their work skills and familiarize them with the corporate working environment.
This year, the program will be available in Male', as well as the Dhiraagu Operations Centers of Fuvahmula, Eydhafushi, Laamu, and Kulhudhuhfushi, open to any Maldivian between the ages of 18 and 30 years old. The applicants must be someone who has completed an A'level qualification or higher and is not working full-time.
Participants will gain experience and training in Dhiraagu's Administration, Stores & Procurement, Corporate Services, Financial Accounting, Credit Control & Collections, Mobile Radio Networks, Fixed Mobile & TV Core, Consumer Services, Sales, Market Research and Analysis, Marketing Communications & Public Relations, Information Systems, and Roaming & Carrier Services, among other fields.
Furthermore, all apprentices who join the program will receive training on soft skills development and essential knowledge in areas such as time management, personal management, project planning, presentation skills, and more from in-house staff specialists.
Since 2009, the telecom giant has run the Dhiraagu Apprenticeship Program consecutively with over 228 apprentices graduating in the program since then. It’s a proud moment for the service provider as some of the graduates are holding high-ranking positions in Dhiraagu and other corporate entities.
