Ooredoo Maldives launched its new campaign, "Ooredoo World Cup Foari," today, formally kicking off its operations to provide Maldivian football fans with an exciting and engaging World Cup experience. The tournament began with a friendly match between Team Ooredoo and Team Hard Rock Hotel at the Crossroads Maldives. Ahmed Mahloof, Minister of Youth, Sports, and Community Empowerment, kicked off the occasion by kicking the official ultimate match ball for the highly awaited 2022 World Cup competition.
“Today we have officially kick started Ooredoo World Cup Foari and this is just the beginning. We have exciting opportunities and activities planned for our customers during this football season. Our aim is to create an unforgettable World Cup experience across the nation that can be enjoyed together.” Sharing his enthusiasm is the Managing Director & Chief Commercial Officer, Khalid Al-Hamadi.
Prior to the friendly futsal match, performances by Habeys Boduberu and the Maldivian Red Bull Free Style Champion, Mohamed Saif Zahir, added to the pleasure and excitement. Furthermore, speaking at the occasion, Ooredoo Maldives' Managing Director and CEO underlined the company's commitment to making the World Cup football season a colorful and exciting time for communities across the country.
