HDC Apprenticeship Program – Earn While Growing!

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) makes an enticing announcement regarding the opening for their Corporate Apprenticeship Program! The incredible program is here with 100 opportunities to study and gain work experience while earning monthly compensation of MVR 6000.
 
All eligible candidates are invited and requested to join for an unforgettable learning experience. HDC Apprenticeship Program is one of HDC's major CSR initiatives. The goal of this program is to develop a skilled workforce in society in accordance with their strategic pillar of developing a congruent community and bringing socioeconomic equity.

 
Gardening, Masonry, Welding, Site Supervisor for Building Construction, Electrician, Heavy vehicle operators, Building Maintenance, Plumbing, Carpentry, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning are some of the fields where participants will gain experience and training through this program.
 
The program's primary focus is on developing the skills of the chosen discipline, gaining self-confidence, learning work ethics, and developing the apprentice's competence to become a professional. Since 2016, more than 54 successful graduates have completed the program and are now working in various capacities at HDC and other corporate entities. HDC hopes to improve the lives of future generations through this program.

 
Apprentices will be required to attend the assigned hours of work, just like other employees, while completing the required number of hours and achieving the level of performance required for certification after evaluation.
 
Minimum Qualification and Requirement
·        Completion of Grade 10 and/or MQA level 2 qualification
·        Maldivian nationality within the age group of 16-35 years.
·        Enthusiastic, highly motivated and willing to work in the chosen field
·        Candidates from Hulhumale’ will be given priority.
 
Duration: The apprenticeship program will be conducted for a duration of 6 months.
Number of participants: 100 slots.
Compensation Package: MVR 6000.00 paid monthly to each apprentice.
