Today, May 8th marks the World Red Cross Red Crescent Day in which it is an annual celebration of the principles of International Red Cross and the Red Crescent Movement. Like every other year, the Red Crescent Movement creates themes to celebrate this day. This year, the theme is #BeHumanKind.
The International RCRC Movement is one of the largest, most inspiring, volunteer-based humanitarian movement that has made a huge global impact across the world. No matter what the crisis, in each country, there are many volunteers that join forces to help the human kind in every way they possibly can.
Even though, the world is still facing the wrath of COVID19, the fact that people still come together to help each other and to spread a random act of kindness, can go a very long way, specially to those most vulnerable. How often do we reflect on the huge impacts that can make over such actions?
No matter how big or how small a kind act could be, it is for sure to leave an imprint to the person receiving it as well as the person giving. They have the power to make a huge difference in people’s lives. It is inspiring to carry out this ripple effect and believing this, the RCRC Movement hopes to spread this positivity across the globe with this year’s theme, #BeHumanKind.
