The predominant waste collection service in the Greater Male' area, the Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) has made the announcement that it will begin billing the tenants of the Hiyaa units in Hulhumale’ Phase II for waste collection services starting next month.
This statement was released to the public this Monday and it noted that given the large number of families now living in the Hiyaa units, the corporation had been providing uninterrupted daily waste collection services in the area.
“Therefore, customers will be billed for WAMCO’s service starting May 1, 2022,” announced the corporation.
The payment is a mere 150 per unit.
This service is only for daily waste collection, and if customers require disposal of the heavier and bulkier waste they need to use the Call and Pick Up Service (CAPS). This was a heavily stressed fact in their announcement.
Customers are advised to call the hotline 1666 for more information on CAPS as well as for their booking needs.
