Gdh. Rathafandhoo Coastal Protection Project Signed Over

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), has recently signed an agreement with the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure of the Maldives. This agreement is a step closer to the implementation of Gdh. Rathafandhoo Coastal Protection Project.

From MTCC, COO Shahid Hussain Moosa signed the agreement, and on behalf of the Ministry, Ms. Zeeniya Hameed, PS signed the agreement.

This project Which is valued at MVR 27.84 million is to be completed within the span of 210 days. The work for it includes the construction of a 461m revetment, a 240m breakwater, and 6600cbm of beach filling operations.

This project will be something that protects the island from erosion for years to come as well as protect it to some degree from the effects of climate change.
