Lemons to be Sold by STO

THis Ramdan, it has come to everyone's attention that there has been a shortage of lemons, a staple item in many households and a much-needed ingredient in many dishes, Maldivian or otherwise because it gives many dishes that little bit of citrus flavor to take it to the next level. This caused a sharp spike in the prices of lemons in the market.

To remedy this, the State Trading Organization (STO) has brought in lemons on their own to sell to the people.

They will be selling a kilo of lemons for the price of MVR 45. A person is allowed to buy one kilo of lemons. And those wanting to buy it in a wholesale manner can do so by going to STO's Agricenter and will be allowed to buy up to 3 kilos.
