The Ministry of Education has announced the school session timings fir the Holy Month of Ramadan which is set to begin on the 2nd of next month.
In the circular sent to all the schools, school sessions must begin at either 8:30 or 9:00 in the morning and must end before 3:00 in the afternoon. There were clear instructions given which said that primary grades should have 2.5 hours per day and that secondary and higher secondary grades should have 3 hours. The littlest ones, preschoolers will be going to school for 1.5 hours.
Each subject is to be given 30 or 45 minutes and schools have been instructed to arrange the timetable accordingly.
The ministry further said teachers' work hours must not exceed four hours and said no school activities must be carried out between 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
The arrangement will be in effect throughout Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal.
