Health Screening Camp for Women Migrant Workers

An announcement by Mission for Migrant Workers Maldives (MMWM) has been for a health camp for women migrant workers, to mark the occasion of Women's Day.

This camp is held in partnership with the Society for Health Education (SHE), the Cancer Society of Maldives (CSM), and the Health Protection Agency (HPA).  SHE will be conducting Hepatitis and HIV screenings, CSM is scheduled to conduct oral cancer screenings and HPA will be conducting TB screenings, this is also to mark the occasion of World TB Day. Gift partners for this event include Women in Management, Fems, and Clogard 

MMWM is providing this health screening so that women migrant workers will be able to participate and check their blood pressure and sugar levels and consult a doctor free of charge. Participants will also receive free medication, courtesy of ADK and Life Support. 

The camp is to be held at Dhamanaveshi from 1500hrs to 1800hrs, on Friday, 25 March 2022.

MMWM has been conducting various health camps across the nation, including Gn. Fuvahmulah, Male’ and Hulhumale’, screening more than 500 migrant workers up to date.
