Here's Why You Must Join the MPL Women's Apprenticeship Programme

Have you always thought that women do not belong in the maritime and port industry? Maldives Ports Limited is here to challenge this thought and create an environment more empowering for women in the field.

On their mission to hunt for capable and aspiring women interested in the grandiose industry, MPL has announced the 'MPL Women's Apprenticeship Programme' specifically designed to offer a practical, on-site experience for women aged 18- to 35-years. An attractive monthly allowance of MVR 5000 is allocated for the duration of this 6-month course. Moreover, participants awarded the Certificate of Completion can secure a permanent job with MPL.

Positions are open for heavy vehicle operators, mechanics, carpenters, welders, marine mechanics, and so on. Eligibility requirements range from Grade 8 pass to 3 'C' grades in O'Levels, depending on the position.

Interested women must complete the application form and submit to MPL Reception Desk by 2 p.m. on March 22, 2022.
