The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Ooredoo Maldives Plc was held and concluded successfully during the night of March 7, 2022. It was held both physically and virtually; physically it was at the Event Hall of Crossroads Maldives, and virtually, it happened virtually through the Online Meeting Management System “FahiVote” of the Maldives Securities Depository Company Pvt Ltd (MSD).
The AGM began at 8:30 pm and was attended by 1,202 shareholders, with 101 shareholders being present in person, and the other 1,101 being represented by proxy. The total number of shares that were represented at the meeting was 135,970,377, which represents 92% of the total issued shares.
According to published minutes, the shareholders approved the Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held in 2021 (the Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday, 2nd March 2021), the Audited Financial Statements with the Auditor’s Report for the year 2021, the Company’s Director's Report for the year 2021, the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) as the Auditors for the year 2022 and their remuneration.
They then went on to approve the dividend at MVR 2.70 per share for the year 2021. Ms. Fareeha Shareef was selected for a second term to represent the genre shareholders on the board of Directors at the company, and on the same note, Ooredoo Maldives is proud to show that the current Board of Directors has equal gender representation on the Board, which is a significant milestone for the Ooredoo group's continued efforts to support gender diversity across its footprint.
