MTCC Concludes The Year In Style By Taking On Additional Ten Projects Under Contract

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc (MTCC) boasts being the leading marine and land transport provider in addition to being the leading civil and marine constructor in Maldives. Whilst most companies struggled to keep their businesses afloat this year, MTCC was definitely on a new level.

The company published its Revenue Report for the third quarter of the year last month, with surprisingly positive figures. They reported engagement in totally 70 projects in the aforesaid quarter alone with completing 11 projects and commencing operations of 12 new projects. This, however, is still not a stopping point for MTCC. In this regard, today, they have signed contracts undertaking ten additional projects awarded to them by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.

A ceremony was held earlier this morning at the Senaco hall of Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu Building for the signing of the agreements. The projects they have undertaken today are as follows; land reclamation and shore protection in 6 islands – Ukulhas in Alif Alif Atoll, Dhaandhoo in Gaafu Alif Atoll, Ihavandhoo in Haa Alif Atoll, Dhiggaru in Meemu Atoll, Dhuvaafaru in Raa Atoll and Hirilandhoo in Thaa Atoll - design and build of an airport in Faresmaathodaa in Gaafu Dhaal Atoll, design and build of a quay wall and a jetty in Ukulhas in Alif Alif Atoll, design and build of a harbor in Maalhos in Alif Alif Atoll and finally, the construction of a harbor in Hinnavaru in Lhaviyani Atoll.
