Storage Centers for Vaccines to be Built in the Maldives.

Three vaccine storage centers will be established in the Maldives, says Minister of Health, Ahmed Naseem.

He was summoned to the parliament questioned as to why there was a delay in the construction of the tertiary hospital in GDh. Thinadhoo, and once he gave satisfactory answers, he went on to give updates on other projects in the health sector.

The minister said that three vaccine storage will be established with the assistance of the World Bank, all across the Maldives.

Different vaccine requires different temperatures of storage, and as such, since the Covid19 vaccine require cold storage, the new centers would be built accordingly.

Minister Ahmed also detailed that new hospitals would be constructed, to further enhance the health sector of the Maldives. New biddings for these projects are to be announced very soon.
