National Museum Reopens Once Again!

The National Museum and HA. Utheemu Place (Utheemu Ganduvaru) which was closed to the public due to the pandemic, will now open once again says National Center for Cultural Heritage.

In the announcement they made, it said that both the places will be open starting next week.

It was further detailed that the National Museum would be open between 10:00 am in the morning and 4:00 pm in the evening from Sunday to Thursday and that they would be closed during public holidays. Tickets would be sold between 10:15 pm and 3:30 pm from Sunday to Thursday.

As for Utheemu Palace, it will be open on Fridays as well as all weekdays, except for government holidays of course, from 8:00 am in the morning to 2:00 pm in the afternoon.  Tickets will be sold between 8:15 pm and 1:30 pm on days the Palace is open.

Both the National Museum and National Library were closed due to the pandemic but were reopened on the 2nd of December last year. Then the museum was temporarily closed due to the spike in cases in the Greater Male' Area.

They will be reopening with better lighting and some changes to displays.
