WTM London is a hub of travel ideas. It aims to connect global travel buyers to the most hyped destinations and brands in the world which in its effect creates endless business opportunities. In order to keep its network intact, this year the event will be held completely virtually. The event is scheduled to take place from 9th November to 11th November at 7AM to 10AM (UK Time).
The main focus of WTM Virtual 2020 is about restoring and developing business connections between travel and tourism experts in the light of the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic. It will include of live conference sessions and forums discussing the obstacles the tourism industry is faced with worldwide with modern and innovative solutions which would cater for the situation that needs to be tackled.
Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) along with five local travel partners; Villa Hotels & Resorts, Kaimoo Hotels & Resorts, Sun Siyam Resorts, Radisson Blu Resorts Maldives, and Robinson Club Maldives is taking part in the event. They will be working to update the current situation in Maldives and promoting the country as a safe haven based on the geographical dispersed islands in addition to the safety measures imposed by health authorities. MMPRC will also have the opportunity to join one-on-one meetings and speed networking sessions which has been formulated to help build connections amongst businesses and individuals as well as to increase brand visibility and awareness.
Apart from WTM Virtual 2020, MMPRC and other parties engaged in the travel and tourism industry has taken part in online events as an integral part of its marketing strategy whereas they are several more which is scheduled to take place during the remainder of the year.
