In partnership with the Environment ministry, Fenaka Corporation has launched the home solar program in the Maldives.
On a statement given out on Wednesday by the corporation, the reason for this program is to reduce public spending on electricity and thereby reduce the government's overall reliance on fuel to generate electricity. This will be a plus for the environment as this program relies on energy that is thoroughly renewable, environmentally friendly, and less costly for everyone involved.
It is said to drastically reduce customers' monthly electricity bills. Up to 97% no less.
“The MVR 2,000 electricity bill of households will drop to up to MVR 60. Home solar systems are green power plants installed on roofs. A power plant that has a low maintenance cost, and which lights and cools with solar energy,” said the corporation.
Clients who wish to enroll in this program will be getting a visit from Fenaka's technical team in order to assess the situation of their houses and find out the best possible way to install the solar panels. Once that is done, the installation will be done based on the information provided by it.
Fenaka Corporation has said that the solar panel system will function accordingly even without yearly maintenance. However, in the rare case that it is not functioning as it should, Fenaka's technical team is always on standby, ready to solve any issues.
