Medical Equipment Donated to Senahiya Hospital by Indian Government

India has donated medical equipment to Senahiya Military Hospital. The donation was presented by the Indian Defense Secretary Dr. Ajay Kumar to Maldivian Defense Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi in a ceremony at Bandaara Koshi on Monday. 

The donation was 2,800 kilograms of emergency medical equipment.

Minister Mariya said thanked the country for their donation and was touched by Indian Defense Secretary Kumar and his team's positivity during defense talks between the two countries.

“Grateful to GOI for their assistance to further strengthen our defense force to achieve our common goal of maintaining peace and stability in the Indian Ocean region,” she said. 

The ceremony on Monday was attended by Chief of Defense Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel, Vice Chief of Defense Force Brigadier General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef, Indian High Commissioner Munu Mahawar, and delegates from the Indian military, Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF)’s general officers and Foreign Ministry officials.
