Maldives reaches 1 Year of a Successful Vaccination Campaign

Ever since the start of the pandemic, the Maldives has been vigilant when it comes to the safety of its people.

With that being said, as of 1st February 2022, it has been 1 year since the Maldives had started its Covid19 Vaccination Campaign. And as of the same date, over 350k people have received both the mandatory vaccine doses, and over 75K people have received the booster dose.

The Maldives has been in the lead when it comes to vaccinations, in comparison to countries all over the world. Having been featured in many lists prove that is something the country should be proud of.

The island nation has 09 vaccination centers in the Greater Male’ Area, which is the capital city and islands around it, and 185 vaccination centers in atolls. Great efforts are still being made to make sure everyone in the country has received the mandatory 2 doses as well as the booster dose.

An innumerable amount of support has been given by countries the Maldives has ties with and none of it has gone to waste as the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the country work long hours side by side with organizations, NGOs, and volunteers from all across the to make sure everyone in the Maldives is fully vaccinated. All this is to ensure the stability of the country and the safety of everyone who lives in it.
