First Fenaka Powerhouse to have Solar PV

Seeing as the Maldives is a country at sea level, global warming and sea-level rise are two things this country cannot afford to contribute to. This is seen by many of the country’s company’s using more environmentally friendly methods to run their business.

Fenaka Corporation Ltd is one such business. To keep up with their commitment to using renewable energy, they have installed 26.28kWp solar PV on the roof of the N.Miladhoo powerhouse. This installation assures that the powerhouse's whole electrical requirement is met by renewable energy.

It is the first step in their road to using renewable energy as their main power. It is also the first newly designed Fenaka powerhouse to have solar PV installed.

Fenaka is a state-owned utility company providing electricity, water, and sewerage to over 150 inhabited islands in the Maldives. They believe in high standardization to ensure high quality and safe utility services to everyone. They also work towards increasing their power generation capacity from solar energy through positive partnerships.
